I stayed back due to the fact it was suggested I not cave tube due to my shoulder surgeries. 😞 I got some work done, took a shower and have just been hanging out in the office this morning. I am amzed at how sleepy I am, but trying to keep my eye lids open.😳
After a lunch called 'boil up' we head to Xunontonich (a Mayan ruin near by). I doubt I will climb to the top this year as I did it last year. I am looking forward to the beautiful sights and sounds!!
Tonight we have the annual dinner called pibil. They bury a pig in a pit and cover it with fire. It cooks all day. We use the meat to make taco type sandwiches. It is always a huge favorite. We can usually make a pretty big dent in that big pig!
We will have a prayer service in the jungle tonight. David has the Windy Hill people dig a big hole and we bury something we've been holding onto for a long time... it should be something we need to rid ourselves of so that we might be able to give God our full attention. This experience is a favorite of many who have come before.
I'll add pics later...
